Kids Gracie Jiu-Jitsu
Head Instructors: Chris Zubrycki (M/W 5 PM) and Reynaldo Moreno (T/Th 4 PM)
Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, was catapulted into popularity due to its successes in the early UFC tournaments, having the Champion be a practitioner of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and member of the Gracie family. Jiu-Jitsu is a martial art and combat sport and a form of self-defense that focuses on grappling, especially ground fighting.
It promotes the principle that a smaller, weaker person can successfully defend themselves against a bigger, stronger opponent using leverage and proper technique; most notably, by applying joint-locks and choke holds to defeat the other person. Jiu-Jitsu can be trained for sport grappling tournaments (gi and no-gi) and mixed martial arts competition or self-defense. Our students will have the opportunity to compete against other classmates, as well as compete in local tournaments. Our Gracie Jiu-Jitsu classes are held four days a week.
Our Kids Jiu-Jitsu classes will
Teach self defense,
Provide emotional stability and
Increase motor skills.
